Sunday Reset – Prepping for Another Crazy Week

Preview

Sunday used to mean brunch, long walks, and maybe a nap. Now? It’s become a full-blown prep day that feels like a tactical military operation.

The Calm Before the Calendar Storm

Today started off deceptively peaceful—coffee in hand, and a quiet moment to scroll through my phone. But by 9:00 am, the group chats started pinging: “Don’t forget gym practice is earlier this week,” “Who’s doing pickup Wednesday?” and my personal favorite, “Tournament confirmed for next weekend!”

Suddenly that peaceful coffee turned into a full-on sprint to check the family calendar, update the color-coded chaos, and figure out how I’m going to be in two places at once—again.

Laundry, Lunches & Last-Minute Lists

Laundry mountains? Conquered. Sort of. School lunches? Half prepped. Grocery list? Still on the kitchen counter, unfinished—but at least I remembered the coffee pods this time.

Somewhere between loading the laundry machine for the third time and searching for that one missing elbow pad, I managed to squeeze in a quick reset ride on the bike. Just 20 minutes, but it counts.

Recharging… Kinda

I try to carve out a moment on Sundays just for me. Sometimes it’s doing my nails, sometimes it’s a good everything shower—you know the one, ladies. It’s not glamorous, but it’s grounding.

Because come Monday, it’s back to the boardroom, back to practice drop-offs, back to juggling 47 tabs in my brain—and probably my browser.

Ready (Enough) for Monday

No, the fridge isn’t fully stocked. No, I didn’t finish that one work thing I swore I’d get done before the weekend was over. But the kids are clean, the bags are packed, and we’ve located most of the gear.

So here’s to the Sunday reset: not perfect, not peaceful, but powerful in its own messy way.

We may not have it all together, but we’re showing up—laundry piles, Google calendars, and all.
